Import Declaration
All goods imported into Ireland from outside the EU must be cleared by Customs. EFL Custom Brokers can provide you information on duties and import regulations, such as import clearance requirements, prohibited goods and import licences. Depending on the type and value of the goods or products you import, there may be costs involved. These can include clearance fees, customs
duty, handling and other fees.
Export Declaration
Customs clearance is mandatory for any goods leaving the country. The process requires the submission of various export documentation, as well as the payment of any additional costs such as storage and testing by customs agents.
If there is missing documentation or goods need an inspection, Customs clearance can stretch to days or weeks. The goods will be withheld until all required documentation is supplied or Customs has completed its checks.
